As our Product Manager & Domain Expert, you will be a seasoned leader responsible for maintaining and enhancing Recurved’s core features while spearheading the development of innovative new solutions. Your deep understanding of financial data, fundraising processes, business planning, and business management will be critical in ensuring our product not only meets the needs of financial and non-financial clients but also delivers a “seductively addicting” customer experience. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless product implementation and drive impactful marketing and sales strategies that highlight our unique value proposition.

Responsibilities

Financial Product Leadership

  • Own and drive the product roadmap for all current and future financial features, including financial forecasting, live benchmarking, and accounting compliance.
  • Manage and develop detailed product requirements, including the maintenance of core formulas and design specifications.
  • Ensure the utmost financial accuracy and integrity of the product.
  • Leverage your financial expertise (ideally CPA) to drive Recurved’s market differentiation, ensuring seamless functionality for both financial and non-financial users.

Strategic Product Development

  • Partner with the CEO to maintain and expand Recurved’s core functionalities.
  • Create and maintain product roadmap and all requirements documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively across sales, marketing, software development, and customer support teams to ensure accurate implementation and clear communication of product features.
  • Lead quality assurance efforts and product launches and/or releases to guarantee product excellence and reliability.
  • Proactively identify and develop unique, innovative features that maintain Recurved’s competitive advantage and establish us as the industry benchmark.
  • Continuously analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to ensure our product remains cutting-edge.

Data Visualization & Analysis

  • Apply advanced Excel and data visualization skills to guide the UX/UI team in creating intuitive and visually compelling presentations of complex financial data.
  • Champion innovative approaches that enable clients to instantly understand their data’s “story” and make timely, informed decisions.

Business Operations & Strategy

  • Contribute to the overall business strategy and drive operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with all levels of the company to ensure alignment and clear communication.
  • Maintain a strong customer-centric and market-driven approach in all product decisions.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic product plans that align with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities and risks related to the product.

Hands-on Execution & Growth

  • Demonstrate the ability to independently deliver high-quality results efficiently.
  • Leverage proven experience in a startup environment to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Apply demonstrated experience in scaling and growing a technology company.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product management within the fintech industry, preferably in a venture-backed technology environment.
  • CPA certification is a significant plus. Alternatively, a strong financial understanding from both a business owner’s and an accountant’s perspective is essential.
  • Expertise in advanced Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Proven track record of successful product management and effective collaboration across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of financial forecasting and strategic planning principles.
  • Solid knowledge of the top 3 accounting software tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and experience with their integration with third-party products and data export.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically with a strong customer focus.
  • Deep understanding of market trends and the competitive landscape within fintech.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Aptitude for “outside-the-box” thinking and a holistic understanding of the business.
  • Ability to lead and inspire enthusiasm for Recurved’s current and future offerings without direct authority.
